SIVA-VISHNU TEMPLE KUMBHABHISHEKAM PREFORMED IN HIS HOLINESS' PRESENCE- 24 June 2010

The Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Siva-Vishnu Temple in T.Nagar, Chennai was performed in the divine presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji. The temple was blessed by Pujyasri Mahaswamiji right from the inception stage and was consecrated on June 21, 1945. In the year 1960, a hall was built to conduct discourses. Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji opened the hall named Vedaranya Mahamantapam. Subsequently, Rajagopuram was constructed and consecrations took place in the years 1976 and 1985. Recently, renovation work was undertaken. The Mahakumbabhishekam festival commenced on 20 June 2010 with yagasala Pujas. Around 11.45 am on the 24th June, Kumbhabhishekam was performed to the various Sannadhies in the presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji.
